Southeast Transmission MainThe City of Sacramento Department of Utilities (DOU) is currently evaluating the most appropriate alignment or preferred alignment for a large water transmission pipeline to ensure dependable and high-quality water to the Sacramento community. The Southeast Transmission Main Project will be designed to transmit potable water to the Florin Road Reservoir and provide for residents’ long-term water needs. During a comprehensive alignment study, the DOU will examine alternative alignments and with the help of community involvement and input, determine the preferred alignment. Project design is scheduled to be completed in 2008. Construction is anticipated to begin in 2009 and be completed in 2010. DOU in Initial Phase of Southeast Transmission Main Project (PDF-44K)
